About Us
Hello, my name is Rob Smith and I am one of
those people that visited Lomboks beautiful shores and fell in love with
the locals, the landscape and the ocean.
I live in Melbourne , Australia and have been involved in the adventure
tourism industry for over 10 years. I have always been a regular visitor
to Bali but in 1991 I ventured a little further to Lombok and discovered a
unspoilt, friendly island. The most vivid memories I have of that trip was
the warm welcome I received from the locals and the stunning beauty of the
island.
It took me a few more years to return but in 2008 I met Supratman Samsi
(everyone calls him "Man"). Man has a long history of looking after
international visitors with his trade mark attention to service and
beaming smile. From that meeting Adventure Lombok was born. In 2009 we
renovated our office in down town Sengiggi and started to think about how
we could raise the standard of tourism services in Lombok.
We believe we offer the best service and the best tours on the island. Our
Rinjani treks offer the best camping gear you will find on the island and
the most experienced English speaking guides. Man knows Lombok like few
others, from the famous Gili Trawangan, Gili Meno and Gili Air to the
heights of Mt Rinjani and the often underrated and definately spectacular,
south western Gilis.
In 2009 we started Lombok's first "Learn to Surf" school primarily based
on the beautiful northern beaches near Mangsit.
In 2010 we will be running a sea kayaking trips around the Gili Islands,
Sengiggi Beach and beyond- another first for Lombok.
We specialize in personalized tours. All the tours you will find on this
website are run "in house". We don't on sell so we can ensure your tour
will be professionally run and safe. Both myself and Man are ready to chat
to anyone regarding your dream trip to Lombok.
