South West Gili Island Sea Kayak
Gili Nanggu Beaches
Just off the the south western coast of Lombok, in Sekotong Bay, is a
string of beautiful islands known as the South Western Gilis. The south
western peninsula and the adjacent islands are the most remote part of
Lombok with the least amount of tourism and development. Its a beautiful
and largely untouched area and a perfect destination for our overnight sea
kayaking adventure.
For travellers who make the trip south you will find relatively
undeveloped islands with some islands being completely deserted. The
locals live the way they have for centuries: by harvesting fish and
pearls. These islands offer the best snorkelling in Lombok and some of the
best beaches.
Lombok Adventures has combined the best of the Islands natural attractions
in our overnight sea kayaking tours.
Travel by traditional Sampan fishing boat from Senggigi beach and enjoy
the 90minute cruise to the islands. Our first stop is tiny Gili Poh. Here
we will adjust the sea kayaks and begin a complete safety brief. Enjoy a
fresh fruit breakfast on the Island before starting our first paddling leg
towards Gili Ringgit, home to a few local fisherman and thousands of
tropical fish who are waiting to meet you! After a morning snorkel we
paddle even further east to the largest island in Sekotong Bay, beautiful
Gili Gede.
Enjoy lunch at the resort restaurant before sea kayaking and snorkelling
along the island's white sand coastline. Or you may just want to lap up
the fantastic scenery beach side. The choice is yours! Paddle as less or
as much as you want. Our Sampan will be with the group at all times
allowing us the flexibility and safety to cater fro everyones needs.
Gili Nanggu Resort
Cruise westward to Gili Nanggu resort for our overnight stay. Enjoy the
hospitality and great food. Chat about the days experiences over a drink
and watch the sun go down in style! Stay in bungalow accommodation tonight
overlooking the water.
After breakfast we will paddle along side gorgeous island coastlines to
Gili Sudak, another sun drenched island offering amazing snorkelling and
beaches. Paddle to Gili Tangkong, yet another near deserted island adrift
in Sekotong Bay. After a packed lunch on the island we will reluctantly
head back to Senggigi via our traditional Sampan fishing boat. A great
experience and a fantastic way to explore the wonderful South Western
Gilis.
